RITTER E-Houses – Plug-and-Play Power Substations
E-Houses are mobile and walk-in power substations in which switching operations in the medium-voltage network are carried out. The key difference compared to conventional switch houses is that they are delivered fully operational from the factory.
The transportable E-Houses are engineered according to customer requirements, prefabricated in our factory, pre-tested, and delivered to the site ready for commissioning. Through the plug-and-play principle, E-Houses offer maximum flexibility for your power supply security – always exactly where you need it.
E-Houses – the advantages
Equipped with our medium-voltage switchgear, the secondary technology, and the auxiliary systems required for operation, planning and commissioning effort on site is reduced to a minimum. As a result, major parts of engineering, coordination, and installation costs are eliminated.
Unlike conventional substations, planning and execution are carried out by a well-coordinated team of project managers, engineers, and installers who have already successfully commissioned numerous similar systems. This means that for your new switch house you have only one point of contact – from planning through connection to ongoing maintenance.
Safe energy distribution - that's what we stand for.
Distributing energy safely is the prerequisite for its unrestricted availability in industry, supply and building technology. That's what we work to achieve – with our entire team and all our expert knowledge.
In the film we will inform you about our services in the field of switchgears.
Medium-voltage switchgear
Execution in accordance with international standard IEC 62271-200 | Air-insulated with the most compact designs | Single and double busbar systems as well as duplex systems up to 24 kV | Rated currents from 630 to 4000 A | Short-circuit strengths of 20 to 50 kA 3s | Arc test up to IAC AFLR 50 kA 1s | Metal-enclosed and subdivided into several metal-clad functional spaces | Partition class PM, avoidance of insulating materials | Safe pressure relief upwards, alternatively integrated pressure relief duct | Highest availability LSC2B with the most compact design | Extended maintenance intervals, low life cycle costs | Available series: GT4, GT5, GT4D, GDE, GT3, GT4H
The systems can be used as a compact circuit-breaker system in grid, distribution and centre stations for utility companies, industry, buildings and public authorities for switching transformers, motors, generators, capacitors, overhead lines and cable lines.

Expert knowledge
We will not leave you to manage alone – even in the early planning stage, as well as throughout the entire project, our team will support you with its extensive expertise. Regular training and further education ensure that our employees are always up to date with the state-of-the-art.
Compact construction
The compact design of our systems enables installation even in small control rooms, meaning that the construction of a new building can often be avoided. Therefore, the systems are particularly suitable for retrofitting in existing buildings. If required, we are happy to deliver the building or container directly to you.
Individuality
Systems that have been individually tailored to customer requirements are standard for us and part of everyday life. With years of experience in various industries, we will take the time to understand your individual needs and together we will find a unique solution that meets all your expectations.
Quality commitment
All systems are 100% tested on site before leaving the factory. We ensure maintenance of our high quality standards with regular internal controls and external audits. Numerous certificates, for example quality and environmental management certificates, back up our claims.
Complete solutions
From project management to commissioning, you will get everything from one source. Our skilled team will work with you to create a suitable concept, take care of the assembly and subsequent maintenance and servicing, and also take care of creation and maintenance of all important documents for you – both in analogue and digital format.
Turnkey projects
Receive your system from us ready for use. After all, customer approvals with a completely structured control system and control technology are part of our portfolio. We will ensure a turnkey final result – including professional production, agreements with partners and authorities, building equipment, and much more.
Short reaction times
We are there when it matters. Short times for assembly and commissioning on the construction site are a great advantage for our customers. Even after successful installation, we will be here for you 24 hours a day! In the event of emergencies, we can be there in the shortest possible time and reduce the disruption of your operations to a minimum.
Retrofitting measures
Retrofitting measures on existing, older systems are also part of our service portfolio. For example, we can renew the protection technology or the circuit-breaker from low-oil types to vacuum switches, thereby increasing your system's efficiency. Take the step towards professional modernisation with us!
